The Apostolic Center is a multi-purpose teaching and equipping center.
It is patterned after the example of Jesus Christ, who gathered people around Him and called them disciples.
His purpose was clear:
To communicate the understanding of the Kingdom, teach them His ways, and send them forth to continue His ministry, teaching and equipping those who would believe on Him after He left.
The Apostolic Center is not just a physical place.
It is a concept.
An idea that Jesus Himself initiated while He was on earth.
A local church can be an Apostolic Center.
A ministry center can be an Apostolic Center.
In truth, every local church can and should be apostolic.
Every community of believers should be apostolic in nature and function.
The Biblical Pattern
Look at the example of Jesus, the Head of the Church:
Yes, Jesus spoke about being “sent by the Father” many times.
Here are key scriptures where He described Himself that way:
John 5:36
“But I have a greater witness than John’s; for the works which the Father has given Me to finish the very works that I do bear witness of Me, that the Father has sent Me.”
John 6:38-39
“For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.
This is the will of the Father who sent Me…”
John 7:16
“Jesus answered them and said, ‘My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me.’”
John 8:42
“Jesus said to them, ‘If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me.’”
John 17:3
“And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”
John 20:21
“So Jesus said to them again, ‘Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.’”
This one is powerful because He ties His “sent-ness” directly to ours.
7. Luke 4:18
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted…”
John 10:36
“Do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?”
Jesus constantly pointed back to the Father as the One who sent Him, and said He only did what He saw the Father doing *John 5:19*. That’s the heart of “Apostolic” sent under authority, with a commission.
The sentedness of Jesus is the template for ours. We are not sent on our own or by our own initiatives; we are sent by the Lord Jesus, and He is the template and pattern of how we should operate under that commission.
“And He went up on the mountain and called to Him those He Himself wanted. And they came to Him. Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach, and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons”
Mark 3:13-14
These men and women were to be an extension of the life and ministry of the Lord Jesus.
He would be bruised for our sins so that He could see His seed and prolong His days Isaiah 53:10.
Consider also His final instructions:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20
Read Jesus’ instructions again. He was asking the first disciples, those closest to Him, to do with others what He had done with them.
He made them disciples. Now He was asking them to make disciples of all nations.
Paul captured this same pattern when he told Timothy:
“You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.”
2 Timothy 2:1-2
So the process is clear:
Make disciples
Baptize them
Teach them to observe all that I have commanded
You will not be alone — I am with you
“Even to the end of the age” the entire Church age.
Jesus intended that the apostles would do what Paul commanded Timothy: teach only what He taught them, not personal opinions or new “revelations.”
Why Do We Need This Now?
The question is: Has the Church stuck to this pattern?
What has been the result of building outside the pattern the Lord laid down?
How do we correct this?
This is what The Apostolic Center is designed to do, by the grace of God.
To build up a community of faithful people:
Grounded in the teachings of the Lord Jesus
Equipped by the Spirit and the Word
Committed to following Jesus in spirit and truth, wherever they are
Just as Jesus taught and equipped His disciples to be and do as He was and did, so believers today must learn to follow the Lord in a way that enables them to rise and shine in the darkness rising over the earth Isaiah 60:1-2.
I believe for these kinds of communities, fellowships springing up all over the world where faithful men teach others, and do the works of Jesus Christ.
Kingdom-minded citizens. Sons of the Last Adam. Bringing glory to God through Jesus Christ.
Why the Name “Apostolic”?
The word Apostolic comes from Apostolos, meaning “a sent one,” a person with a commission.
Have you noticed how Jesus continually emphasized that He was sent?
He was and is the first and chief Apostle, sent by God the Father.
Apostolic describes the relationship between the One who sends and the one who is sent.
It means functioning under the direction, authority, and boundaries given by the Sender.
Jesus said of Himself:
“I can do nothing of Myself… I came to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work.”
That same relationship must exist between Jesus and His Church:
“As the Father has sent Me, so I send you.”John 20:21
“Go into all the world…”Mark 16:15
When the Church loses sight of this “sent” vision, it becomes a wandering church in need of repentance and return.
Our commission is to call believers back to this place. This is the healing of the Church.
How Does This Work?
The pattern is simple.
Those Jesus trained as apostles trained others in what they had been taught. That continued down the line.
At some point the Church lost this vision and slipped into the dark ages, dominated by religion and false Christianity.
The Reformation under Martin Luther in 1517 began the return to biblical Christianity.
The present apostolic and prophetic reformation is the final missing step in the Church’s return to authentic, biblical Christianity.
It has taken the Lord over 500 years to bring us full circle to this point.
The question for everyone is: Are you willing to make this connection?
One principle of divine judgment is this: we will be judged according to the light made available to us.
This generation has that light. With it comes greater resources, greater potential, greater responsibility — and greater accountability.
In Summary:
The Apostolic Center exists to restore the pattern Jesus established.
To raise disciples who make disciples.
To send a people who are with Jesus, like Jesus, and sent by Jesus.
